Recording the content channel

1 On the MCU set up a conference which includes an endpoint with an H.239 data channel. If necessary

refer to the MCU Tutorial

2 On the IP VCR go to Recordings and click Call out and record

3 Type in a name for the recording e.g. Training H.239 Recording and make sure the H.323 protocol

is selected

4 For Host Name or IP Address type in the conference ID that you just set up on the MCU

5 Click Call endpoint

6 Go to Recordings and click the Watch link for the recording you have just started

7 Select your media player and click Start streaming

You will see the recording with both the main video and the H.239 content windows.

When playing back a recording, you are given the choice of whether to play back the audio and main

video channels, the content channel video, or both. If you want to display the content channel when you

play back the recording, make sure that the View content channel check box is selected.
